La Saint-Ours: a look into the past

On 30 and 31 January a “Foire d’Antan” will be reproduced, with the participation of artisans invited to create the most representative traditional objects live.

In Piazza Chanoux, an atelier inserted in a typical alpine environment in the which the public will be able to admire the realization of the traditional Aosta Valley handicrafts.

The program of craft demonstrations includes:

  • On 30th January from 10 am to 12.30 pm: Livio Charbonnier (category agricultural objects) and Dante Marquet (category toys) and from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm: Michel Pelliccioni (blacksmith) and Gontran Sarteur (sabotier).
  • On 31st January from 10 am to 12.30 pm: Dante Marquet (toy category) and Aldo Bollon (vannerie category) and from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm: Michel Pelliccioni (blacksmith) and Gontran Sarteur (sabotier).
