A spell on the city
If the pure essence of the Aosta Valley could take a tangible form, then that would be the Fiera di Sant’Orso. A timeless festival that has survived for thousands of years, carrying a granite tradition, like its mountains.
It is the pungent air, steeped in dialect words and solemn songs, the intense aroma of vin brûlé, the cheerful chatter of a crowd that crosses the city. And then there are them, the craftsmen: warm smiles and benevolent, eyes surrounded by wrinkles, hands with calluses that hold heavy tools of centuries of history.

What will you find at the Fair?
The traditional Aosta crafts, such as work tools, sculptures and home accessories. In addition to hobbyists, there are craft schools and companies of professionals who exhibit their works, all enlivened by folk shows and a food and wine pavilion where you can taste goodness from the entire valley.
A moment of encounter
One of the most felt aspects of the Fiera di Sant’Orso is certainly the conviviality, the desire to meet and be together. Just as in the past, the Fair is an opportunity to meet again after a year away and to exchange tips and life stories. The height of the party?
